ROBERTO SERAFINO
Roberto Serafino, who changed his childhood dream from teaching history to building a better future with a career in the insulation business, is a dedicated Sales Manager with extensive experience. He joined the Knauf Insulation team five months ago after excelling as a Sales Manager in the CNC machines and Laser Cutting Systems industries for five years.
Roberto studied Materials Engineering and Nanotechnology at Università del Salento, where his passion for innovative construction materials led him to write a thesis on the development of a masonry mortar. This mortar utilized side products from other processes, such as fly ashes from Coal Electrical Plants and blast furnace slag, to reduce the environmental impact of industrial processes.
Roberto found great fulfillment in giving a second life to these byproducts.
How did YOUR STORY AT kNAUF INSULATION begin?
My journey with Knauf Insulation began at the end of last year when I connected with the company on LinkedIn. Although my story officially started with a meeting, I have been familiar with Knauf Insulation for many years.
What do you love the most about the insulation?
I admire the tremendous energy savings, emissions reduction, and overall improvement in daily life that insulation materials offer.
How do you see the future of insulation business?
I expect continuous and exponential growth in the insulation business. With an increasing emphasis on energy-saving and emissions reduction, the demand for insulation solutions will undoubtedly rise.
What is your favourite sport?
I love many sports. During my university years, I played rugby and closely followed football and basketball. I proudly support U.S. Lecce, my hometown football club.
Who is your hero?
I don't have a particular hero. I believe that valuable lessons can be learned from everyone we encounter. Every day.
