Coldbox-Insulation at BASF Ludwigshafen, Germany

Installer: Bohle GmbH

The cryogenic chemistry is characterized by processes at extremely low temperatures. As part of a collaboration between BASF and Linde Engineering, a new coldbox was built in Ludwigshafen – a building for those processes. The average temperature inside the system is at an average level of -160 °C. With 1,050 tons of our loose wool Cryo LWC we were able to optimally isolate the cavities of the entire plant.
